There is a seperate line of 3 relays on a post right infront of the driver side strut tower (closest to the engine). The frist one (closest to front of the car) is the fuel pump relay on a 4cyl. If you "jump" pin 87 and 30 with the car in the "on" position you should hear the fuel pump buzzing inside of the fuel tank if you put your ear to the rear seat.

for the M42 its different. The 3 relays are along the firewall right behind the intake manifold. The Driver side is the ORANGE relay, the middle is the BLUE relay, and the passanger side is WHITE.

The white is for the ABS and the orange and blue, when i just pins 87 and 30 i can hear the injectors spray. Unless its something else.

Thats as far as ive gotten but i still dont hear the pump kick on. I'm going to work and im going to ask a tech.

one of the relays is for the O2 sensor (warm up). I don't know which one is which so I just take them both out, all I care about is keeping the fuel pump from going. makes it easy to test the fuel pump relay though, just swap it for the O2..
