this ALWAYS happens to me. one small detail that shouldn't matter stops me from completing my task.
i had to literally drill my headlights off to remove a screw. WTF.

Alright now that I've calmed down I can relate the rest of my epic story.

The stud never came out. I welded a nut on it and it just snapped the stud. I welded another nut and tried using my small impact. Broke the stud again. So I put everything back together anyways. Everything went together perfect. It starts up and idles better than it did before I replaced everything. Im debating whether to bring it in and get that one stud replaced or finish up rebuilding my spare head and slap that baby in on another weekend.

So at the end of this week I did output flange seal on the diff, new guibo and center bearing, and pretty much entirely new exhaust. Im done for a while. The love hate continues. Its not going to the junk yard lol.

Actually now my problem is I have a nut stuck in my swivel impact socket from breaking off the stud.

Id actually consider myself a pretty good mechanic. Nothing wrong with getting upset. Better than breaking stuff.
