If you're short on patience working on a 20+ year old car may not be for you. There are challenging problems even with new cars. When you add decades of stress, corrosion and probable misuse you compound the difficulty. In short, never expect things to go perfectly. Especially on something that will be considered "classic" in the not so distant future ;)
I try to recognize when I'm getting pissed off and take a step back so I don't start breaking shit. But thats just me.
I'm sure you'll get it out with some ingenuity. Best of luck.

put 2 nuts on the stud (one on top of each other) and tighten them then use the inner one to turn to loosen...duh.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Take it to a welding shop... what I do is weld a bolt to it and simply screw it out, work smart not hard.Valley Motorwerks

You can always drill into it and screw it out, no?
Also, did you try using a blow torch on it? Heat is the best cure for old stuck studs..
I can relate though. I just had to remove the four nuts that hold the fuel sender unit to the fuel pump. All four nuts were stripped completely. There was no way to get them to catch the threading on the fuel pump... Would be super easy if there wasn't gasoline all around... I had to manually cut each one off. Talk about a PITA.
Good luck man.Different strokes for different folks.
