Hi All! i have recently attempt to change the spark plugs on my 88 325i conv. I have been reading finally decide to stick with OEM stuff (W8LCR). so i ordered them from Bav Auto. They turn out shipping me WR8LC+. i start digging more and found out that the OEM W8LCR had been discontinued. So now i got a set of WR8LC+ on hand. Please tell me what are the negatives in these plugs (i heard they melt wires). User advice are greatly appreciated. Thanks! Also, if these are recommended, what is the gap? thanks again!

I've had problems with those plugs. The latest is a plug failure causing misfires on a set with about 1k on them. I don't use them, but they were in a car that I'm restoring. I've also seen those plugs make an engine be down on power on a dyno.
You can use them and they'll probably work, but I use NGK ZGR5A plugs. The gap set on the plugs should be okay. The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

gap should be around .28. I was cheap and lazy and slapped some cheap copper autolites in earlier this week to narrow out some bullshit with idle, running rich, misfire problems. The bocshe platinum plus plugs that were in there from the PO were fucking TOAST. I'm running a rank of seafoam type shit through then tanking everything off to see what it all looks like then going from there.

Wanna know how I got them for under $2@...ok...since you insist....advance online has them for $2.79@ but if you get 2 sets so are over $30 you can use code "es123" for $10 off. When you try to order them though it says "check store for availability" since they tend not to stock them which means you cant buy them online & the store cant give yo that discount.
So I called, the guy said "I'll order them for stock, & will call you in the morning when they are logged in so you can buy them online." He did, I did, walked in, introduced myself & the guy handed me my plugs
That code is also good for $30 off on a $100. I bought 2 batteries that way.Seat Shocks....I have passed the baton to John Christy from Ninestitch. Email John or Garrett at ninestitch1@gmail.com
