    Planing E30 head?

Is this possible with the clearances? I have it off since timing belt broke so wondered if it was possible. Just to give it a bit more compression. Would the performance gains be worth it if its possible?

With the stock cam you can do it, but raising the compression is a risky thing on M20s because they are already on the verge of pinging as they are. Whats the highest gas octane you can get at the pump?

what is the stock compression on our M20s? and could this be done with the use of 93 octane?

2.5s are 8.8. You could plane a little on 93 octane. I'd still try to keep compression under 9.5 on 93 though.
