    throttle position sensor swap

    anyone have any tips for changing the TPS out before i go and pull it apart? any thing i need to know about keeping everything all lined up?

    Yea, it's a bitch with ITBs. Just pull them to change it out.

        Use a multimeter on continuity setting to test the contacts after installation.

          I used a little phillips bit in a 1/4" socket in a tiny ratchet to remove/install.

            I did it, and the new one you dont have to pull the cover to pop it on (its impossible to actually)

            The click will be very distinct

              i guess its more straight forward than i had thought...i was not sure if i had to "zero" the valve inside or something...thanks again guys...ill do it in the am and report back if it fixes my idle issue.

                Easy way to check is just let car idle and jump the pins on the connector the middle and the one that plugs into the right side of the connector

                    When you install the new TPS, adjust it so that the idle switch closes when the throttle arm is 1mm off the idle stop screw.
                    The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
