Well, you don't say what car, and thus what tank, you have.
Cars with a 55l tank have a single level sensor and cars with the 63l tank have two level sensors wired in series. A single sensor has a resistance of 59-60 ohms empty and zero full and thus the dual sensor tank is 118-120 ohms empty and zero ohms full.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
