    Help! Stuck at gas station

    Sorry for wrong section.
Car won't start, fuel pump seems ok, voltage to FP only 2-2.6V.
Relay? If relay which of the 3 is it and which pins should I jump?
I can't search cuz I'm on slowass edge on my cell.

      The pump needs 12V
      Battery is fine, showing 11.6V

            Even jumped getting 2.0V.
Voltage to and from relay/jumper is ~12V

Ok I'm retarded, 11V starting so pump is dead.
Fuuuuuu Walbro only has 8K miles.

Had to get a friend to tow me.
Any idea why a year old Walbro would die? Is there any chance of getting it running again?
And is it normal that there's about 1.8V on the pump connector all the time even with the key out?

Battery should be at 12+ volts with the engine off, 14 or so with it running. If yours is showing 11.6, it's dead.

I actually just did my dad's fuel pump yesterday. Check the contacts underneath the connector on top of the fuel pump carrier. His we're old and the wires were no longer making good contact. I soldered on new wires with heat shrink and all is well.

It was 12.2 but after some attempts at starting it etc. it dropped to 11.6. I sat there over an hour.

I'll check the contacts. I soldered them myself back when I installed the pump (E30 carrier modified to fit the Walbro), but that could be a weak spot.

I agree with checking the ground.

                            Thanks guys.
Should I be checking the ground from the relay or on the pump connector?
I think I read somewhere that even the big groung wire (engine->body) could effect this?
