I figured it was the reverse light wiring. So it is normal for them to run right through the middle like that? With the new rubber root, is it supposed to come out of the center hole?

Ok, this is a bit frustrating, I went to change the boot, got the old one out, and I found the hole you guys speak of (2 in 1 out) but how the hell do you get the wires through the small hole if the connector is attached to the said wires? How do I seperate the bottom two wires from the connector?

I think my PO had the same problem as you and just got rid of the plug, fed one side of the wires through, and crimped them together. If all else fails you could just do that
The plug should be in the cabin. The hole in the new boot will be so tight that you will ask yourself how can i get tge plug through the hole?
The answer is, use needle nose pliers and open the hole as much as you can, youll be amazed about how much that sucker opens! Pretty much like giving
Birth stuff!!
Good luck
Don't cut the connector and yes it should be tucked under the carpet. Open the hole as best u can. U may even have to slice it a bit.
Edit: I think I actually unplugged the reverse light switch connectors and ran those through since they are smaller. Still had to slice the hole but not as much as I would have needed to get the other connector through.
I got it all in! The stuffing into the transmission tunnel part was easy as can be. The key was to pull up the middle part that goes over the shifter, then push the boot in, then push the middle part back down.
I used needle nose pliers and tweezers to get the connector through after stretching the holes.
