MAF + smt6
Ok guys....
Since the cold weather's here to stay, my ol' bastard-of-a-car is having big problems while starting in the cold.
I start it up (cranks and fires fine) but it is extremely rough. The engine vibrates so much that the whole car is shaking. It needs constant throttle input to keep it alive, or else it just dies.... I've tried monitoring the fuel ratio with my lc-1, but it is very frantic. Just jumping all over the place.
Now.... Luckily I was smart enough to install a block heater when the engine was out. If I plug it in for the night, the starts in the morning are much, much better. I still need to apply a bit of throttle, but there is no vibration.
I should also mention that it has some minor HOT start issues. Once again, it requires a bit of throttle right after starting to keep it from crapping out.
I just got a new coolant temp sensor, but it's still having the same issues.
I've gone through the bentley and checked everything. Still can't figure this one out.
Any thoughts?
