    My Vert Top Stopped Working!!!!!!Help!!!

So like the title says my power top on my 93 325IC stopped working. I have used the top countless times and have never had a problem with it.It made no odd noises or anything prior to this issue.

Last night I pulled into my shop to clean the interior and went to put the top down and nothing happened. There was no sounds of the motor turning on, nothing, completely dead. What gives?

So I started taking things apart only to find that all of the micro switches have power. I started with the main toggle on the dash then moved to the one above the windshield and worked my way back into the trunk to the ones right before the main top motor.
    All have power?!?!?
Could the motor be bad? Everything looks brand new! the top was replaced just before I bought the car and it looks like they may have replaced all the motors too? Everything is spic and span!?!!?

The one and only thing I did not check is the fuse for the top, reason being is that I could not find it!?!? But would that even matter? everything has power!!!

    Please help!!!!

    It's a 20 year old motor though.

The 4 mircoswitches activates the motors so if you complete the curcuit on one, one of the motors will turn in a direction. If all switchs turn something, I would think your motors are fine. Id check fuses first. I do no rememeber which one it is though.

also when you connect up the back motor to control the top there is a trick where you have to connect motor at same time getting switch connected if this is not done correct there will be no action. read about it on the e30convertible website.

Is the microswitch in the latch on the windscreen frame switching when you release the top? If it doesnt switch, the ECU will think the roof is still latched and will not supply power to the operating switch/motor .

you don't specify if its stuck up/down/halfway...

there is a release switch in the trunk, you may need to use a fing-longer to access it.
otherwise, i know its a common weakspot (power roof)

            i think Robert1700 has a spare one

Thanks all your your replys!! I figured it out after messing with it for a little while. Like I mentioned all the micro switches had power but the motor still wasn't working. I checked for power at the motor with a voltmeter and that was getting power too! It turns out that the connections on the motor itself were a little lose. I was able to bend them slightly activating the motor. Now my top is back in business!
