annoying airbox stuff

Only difference I noticed with the K&N was on startup the car ran smoother. Once everything was warmed up I never noticed a difference. With the stock airbox the idle seems to fall a little when the revs fall from say 2500, it'll drop then come back up when the engine is cold. But thats probably a vacuum leak somewhere...Leave a comment:

Yup, and this test is with a brand new filter. They get worse as they get dirty.

AFMs aren't sensitive to oiled filters, MAFs are - and only if you use way too much oil on them.Leave a comment:

Early coolant system has a clamp on the frame rail and goes VERY close to the alternator. I bought an aftermarket hose for my car and it didn't fit quite right and the blades on the alternator ripped it, and that was with the hose in the clamp on the frame rail :( Always use OEM for that one now.Leave a comment:

It appears I did put it in backwards *facepalm*
Well thats fixed. Now how about that black gunk? Could that be from the power steering? Or would something else in that area cause all that gunk to build up?Leave a comment:

you either ordered the wrong hose or you put it on wrong. that hose doesn't go anywhere near the alternator.Leave a comment:

Ah, didn't look right from the pictures, but couldn't see it very well.Leave a comment:

The radiator hose? No it should be because I ordered it through blunttech and was supposed to be the proper one

That doesn't look like the stock hose. Looks like someone just bought a pieces of straight house and made it work.Leave a comment:
