I don't have any clue how an eta could even hold a candle to an E36 M3 in straight line acceleration, but I guess that is besides the point.
Have you considered swapping in an M20B25? You could do it for like $500 and thats an instant 50hp for you... the powerband is more suited to autocrossing as well in my opinion. I have a B25 block and head and some acc. at my house that you can have if you want them.Comment

its true.....I dont kno how long its been since u been to a baybimmers meet, but i have raced beebo paulredm3 and b96whtm3 they will all confirm it.
TJ if your looking to just get rid of the stuff ill take it, but i really dont have extra money to be spending right now being the holidays. in about a month or so ill have some extra cashComment

I personally would just swap TJ's spare head on to get the dual springs and cam. Maybe shave .020 off to bump the CR. Then, find an "i" intake manifold, TB and 173/JC or MD ECU...buy a set of 19Lb injectors, header...all set to be close to 200 WHP. Tuning, maybe the bigger AFM (or SMT6, wOOt!) and you should have a tire shredder.
That is exactly what I am planning, come spring, but starting with a 325is.
If I were you, I would start looking for a set of 3.73's though. Mine spin too high for my taste, but I am not planning on changing.
