    Stupid heater problem I'm stumped

I can pay someone to fix this.

I've replaced the resistor pack, 1-4 switch unit and the fuse....still nothing.
I know the blower works because when I wire it directly to the battery it blows on 4. I'm stumped

You dont say if you installed a new resistor (even they can be bad) or where you jumped the blower motor but try doing it at the plug that goes in to the switch. That way you can confirm a) that you have power there and b) that each speed is working individually.

I put a known working resister in out of another e30 I have when I jump it at the switch it gets to hot because it bypasses the resister if I jump it at the blower motor it's fine.

I ended up just making a stand alone heater harness and wired the switch and resister into that it was a pain, but not as hard as pulling the dash and finding the short. The factory wiring was pretty corroded anyway
