What do you mean by outputs? The part that grabs the linkage?

Is the linkage bad? Why not just remove the motor. That's the easiest thing to do.

I cant get to the last 10mm bolt, because the smaller arm won't cycle out of its way

You need to remove the blower motor cover, the blower motor, and then the remaining blower motor housing if you want to pull the entire linkage.

you have to pull the cover off. the motor actually comes out pretty easy.

the linkage comes out easy too if you remove the intake manifold.

The motor pops out after I remove the 4 10mm bolts right?

yeah I think 3 bolts to the wiper frame and 1 bolt to the linkage arm.

The worse job on an E30 I think and that's after the crap I've done with the cabrio.

timninja, if your linkage is all bad, I just finished gaining access to that on a car I'm parting out. Let me know if you need it.

It was really easy with the intake manifold out of the way. taking out the heater box to get to it was much more time consuming than actually getting the linkage in and out.
