I just got back from taking mine to a shop. My leak was caused by a tiny plug in an oil galley at the back of the head. It's nearly impossible to see from above. It had backed out and was about to fall out. Had it fallen out, it would have dumped all the oil in less than a minute.
I'll have to look at mine, since the tranny is out anyway... make sure mine is solid in there.
Thanks for the tip!

I just got a good look at it. I found both a coolant leak, from either the waterpump or thermostat houseing i would guess, and an oil leak. Its hard to tell what is oil nasty gunk and what is coolant nasty gunk but the oil leak might just be the lower pan gasket. It also looks like a little is comming from the dipstick tube too, maybe i will replace the filter housing as well, along with making a skidplate

I hate to think how much time I spent under there with a toothbrush, a hose, and at first, a bottle of Simple Green. I've found that POR15's Marine Clean does a MUCH better job of degunking, but, still, it was messy messy, messy.
