    R3V I need your Help

What is the small plug in the picture for or to?

    This is a 91 318is M42 harness.
Its a small 2 wire plug in the glove box with the DME that goes up under the dash.

Is that the plug for the flashlight? The rechargeable one?

        Wat? o_O
No this plug was plugged in to some wire that snake up undet the dash.
It wasn't just a dead plug hanging there.

I just need to know whats on the other end of the two wires that snake up under thw dash.

I don't think so. I'd have to check the ETM, but I think that is how the A/C idle speed and road speed signals reach the DME.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I was swapping ECU's around a couple days ago, and I noticed that there was a black plastic unit like that next to the ECU in the '88 vert and '91 sedan, but not in my '87 sedan. I was actually going to ask what it was, but....here we are. I could take pics tomorrow if it helps.

                  bingo

The 24v swap guys that actually managed to keep their AC know this plug well when it comes to trying to keep a smooth idle when you turn the AC on

It Comes With a AC Cold/Warm Kit .
