    Weird power steering grinding noise

So my car has developed a weird grinding noise similar to this video:

Everytime i turn it makes that grinding noise. It happens when i start the car but after i drive it a bit it stops. Sometimes it doesnt even do it at all. A few people said it was air in the lines? Any suggestions?

That video sounds more like a whine, pump related for sure.

You can always delete your PS if you don't want to fix the noise.

I'd rather keep it as a last resort.

Hopefully it's pump and not rack

Mine did that. Belt was too tight, stressing the pump bearings. Belt tension correct?

haven't touched the belt so it would be weird if that was the cause, hopefully it is though. Fingers crossed going to attempt this.

Bump still does it. Going to change reservoir, return hose, and pressure hose soon.

I'm assuming you've checked the power steering fluid level?

would a leak from the resevoir to the pump be the cause?

Sorry for the late update. I changed my Low pressure return hose and the hose that goes from resevoir to pump ( both were leaking). Its been 2 weeks and there is still no noise.
