    Cleaned My Intake Today...

Felt like working on her today, so I gave the whole intake a good scrubbing (isopropyl + rags). Snorkel, airbox, AFM, boot, throttle plate, everything.

A buddy of mine was chillin' in the driver's seat, so I asked him to pin the throttle real quick so I could watch the butterfly. With the pedal to the floor, the plate was still a good 20 degrees from being all the way open, so I tightened up the cable until it opened all the way. The plate itself was beyond filthy, so much that I was able to scrape away tasty chunks of grime with my fingernail.

My car's an auto right now, but after all the cleaning and adjustment, I can definitely feel more pull in the powerband along with a little quicker response at any throttle position.

TL;DR - If you're looking for NOTICEABLE improvements for $0, clean your whole intake and make sure your throttle opens all the way.

The right way to adjust the throttle is to adjust the cable for a bit of slack so that the throttle closes completely. Then adjust the accelerator pedal stop for full throttle. If both conditions can't be reached the throttle cable may be bad or the bushings in the accelerator rod assembly in the footwell may be bad.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

The idle speed is the same before and after so I guess either way works. There's definitely a bad bushing in the pedal because it was squeaking like crazy. I greased it about month ago and it's still quiet.
