testing electr valve?

electr valve (electronic valve?)

how can i test to make sure this thing is working right?

i cant seem to find any info on it.

is it a solenoid? it sounds like it. if you can find even basic wiring (look on your harness to start, brown should be ground and green or red might be power). Then you can ground one post and apply 12v to the other and see if it opens (or closes).

Looks like green/yellow has +12V and white/brown gets a ground signal (or something less than +12V) from the control module when the engine needs spark advance.
