chip and tps

I replaced the stock computer w a motronic 1.3 (173) ecu
I then installed a markd chip for 91 oct
my stomp test doesnt work and I read than this could be because of the chip or the TPS
if the TPS was indeed bad would this result in hard starting?

the chip has nothing to do with the TPS, but the TPS can cause a hard start and no stomp test. I'd do a search on posts by jlevie and the TPS. :)
