    Name this chip!!

I'm hoping I posted this in the right section - Forgive me if I didn't!

I am currently parting out my 318is and I always had a sneaking suspicion that it had a chip of some form. Well i went to go open the DME and it looked like it had already been opened, good sign. I open it, look inside, and see this:

Letters on the chip are JR: 89330

I have google searched all the info on this chip, and it returned absolutely nothing. All I know about it is that the car had no rev limiter, and it seemed to have a bit more "grunt" than other m42's i've driven.

Help me solve this chip mystery!

If it's anything other then stock, it's likely an eBay chip as any name brand chip manufacturer would have their own label on it.

I can't remember for sure, but it seems my stock chip had a label on it like this one, but I can't find it at the moment to check.

I'm thinking it's either an Ebay chip, or some kind of indy shop creation. I'm leaning towards indy shop since most ebay chips even have some sort of logo/proper branding.

It's for sure not stock seeing as it has no r3vlimiter/speed limiter (from what I could tell). Also felt like it gave a bit of a power bump over a similarly maintained m42 i drove.

        Probably a Dinan knockoff.

The real Dinan m42 chip part number is D900-1833. The m42 318is DME number ends in 175. Hence the "175 1833" sticker.

The JR 89330 is just the eprom manufacturer part number, that has nothing to do with the data stored on it or with who put the data on it.
