    Frozen door gaskets

My daughter's '91 318is is having a problem with water getting in to the door gaskets and freezing. I wonder if anyone has suggestions for keeping doors from freezing shut. The car is parked outside, and periodically her doors will freeze shut. It's not the locks, as the buttons pop up, but actually seems to be the door gaskets freezing to the metal of the body. This morning I was able to use a plastic interior tool with a 90 degree bend to gently break the ice between the gasket and the body and then open the door, but I'd like a more permanent technique that doesn't risk tearing the door gasket.

Is there something we could treat the gaskets with that might minimize water freezing?
    Thanks for any suggestions!

Gummi Pflege never lets me down. And it's German made! Does wonders for rubber seals.

I love Gummi Pflege but not sure about its antifreeze ability. Seems to me if the gaskets were snug water would not get between them and the door frame. Would a latch adjustment help ?

A couple friends recommended silicone on the gaskets, and wax on the door frames. Since I've got a can of silicone lube for door hinges in the house, I'm going to give this a try.
