    short shift on an 325ix

is there any thing you have to do differently when installing a short shift on an 325ix does the transfer case get in the way or is it not a problem, has anyone out there done a short shift install on a 325ix and have any tips.

I don't think the Tcase will get in the way, but I'm not sure. I have heard that you might have to bend the rod a little bit to clear maybe the front driveshaft? I think Dave has a SSC, maybe he'll chime in.

part of my issue is the car being slammed so it is hard to get under, I'll have to wait for a weekend to get it up on the ramps which are not at my house.

you can make any short shifter fit in an ix, but if it's really short, you will have to modify the upper selector rod. just letting you know anything is possible

A local guy has a Z3 rod in his 'ix. He never mentioned any difficulty.
