    Able to delete charcoal canister?

Curious if this can get pitched w/o causing any running problems? It has a sensor going to it so that would be unplugged obviosly? will it throw a code or whats the case? this would be on an m42... And what do you do with the line going into the tank? just cap/plug it?

    I deleted mine.

You must retain the perge valve or you will introduce unmetered O2 and fuel into the engine.

The perge valve only opens off throttle, like when you are coasting down a hill. It vents off fuel tank vapors into the intake to be burned.

I bypassed my canister. Run the line from the frame rail right to the perge valve, completely bypassing the canister.

Although the valve will still open the canister is needed to absorb vapors. Without it you will find the pressure in the tank will only really be released fully when you open the fuel cap to fill up. The sound as you remove the cap is similar to farting :)

That said the added pressure stands to do no harm, it should infact assist the fuel pump in doing its job.

Passive emissions. Heat causes gasoline to vaporize; a vapor line runs to the charcoal canister to capture and temporarily store gas vapors. On the other side of the charcoal canister is a vacuum check valve or in the Motronic 1.1+ cars an electric valve that allows engine suction to burn accumulated hydrocarbons.

        Hydrocarbons contribute to ground-level smog.

-So there should be a problem with NOT temperaraly storing the fumes? The perge valve will still suck them in, thus no gas leaks off. Right?
