    Brake lights stuck on

I noticed the other day that my brake lights were staying on when I took my foot off the brake. they will go off if I lift up on the brake pedal manualy.
I searched and found the most common problem to be the brake switch. I was just inspecting it and it seems like the switch is working fine. If I depress the brake pedal with one hand and press the switch with the other the brake lights go off every time without fail.
I tried spraying some grease on the bushing but that didn't help.
anyone have any ideas what this could be?
    I was thinking the spring?

BENdashdash had this problem, pm him and ask how he fixed it. id assume it has something to do with the brake pedal adjusting screw.

Yeah, when I replaced brake light switches mine started doing that. Even when I used the old switch it still did it. I've dinked around in there a few times and still haven't found a solution.

I tired that but stopped because the CC switch was moving too much. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try again. ty

that was my first instinct, but i figured I should try to see if there was some sort of a proper fix it before I started to try and bend shit around.

on a side note, I got your sub installed the other day and it sounds great. I am 100% satisfied with my stereo now.

I spent a few minutes in the garage today and fixed my problem.
All it took was a little love with a pair of chanel locks and now my brakes lights are working perfect. :woowoo:

                Thanks alot Jordan.
