    Steering Wheel shakes at 50+.........

OK, I have redone all the front suspension (CA and CAB, Tie rods sway bar links and bushings) and balance the front two tires and a shop did all 4 wheels alignment.

Two items I suspect are A) warp rotors and pads and B) hubcentric rings.

The wheels bore is slightly larger that the rotors center.

I want to know what is the E30 center i read is 72.6mm but need to confirm
also what is the best way to check for warp rotors by feeling or what.

I found these hubcentric rings at ebay and want to knwo if these might work

you should have snug fit on your wheel to hub .if no you need hub centric rings or spacers

The hub is 57.1mm, I'm trying to resolve a similar issue on a car I'm working on as well.

Your wheels bore must match the hub size or it will vibrate.. this is at least part of your problem.

Balancing does not ensure that wheels are straight and round. This was my experience.

Swap front and rear wheels to see if the problem follows, if your wheels are not staggered. Worth the extra troubleshooting knowledge.

Long stretch.... But tie rod ends? Inner and outer. My steering wheel shakes and steering is loose so I need to replace mine... Take a look at it?

check too if your tire has a bubble or whatever. Different hub bore size can affect but not always. I've ran e39 wheels on the e36 with and without hub rings. jack up your front and try to wiggle the wheel up and down, left and right. If it moves, it's an indicator that tie rods or control arm bushings are bad

only way to check warp/ runout is w a dial indicator. alldata specs out .2mm axial runnout measured at the outter most edge of rotor. FYI the rotor should be properly torqued down when checkin runout. but yeah sound wheel related. warped rotors dont vibrate, they cause a pulsing. like posted above, swap tires front to rear if you can.

Tires are high suspect parts, swap with known good ones (friends) and test

The shaking all the time or under braking? Rotors won't shake while just rolling 50+

Often times rotors are not intact warped but have deposits on them from being driven hard and put away while hot or not using them hard enough (two completely opposite driving styles - same problem)

If it just braking that shakes, try bedding the brakes, Pagid pads web site has a very good description of how to bed brakes, that can sometimes fix severe brake shaking, I've witnessed it first hand

I have a shake in my front (new to me car) and so I'm right here with you, I'll check worn parts as the car is new and I have no history of when this began

                          Best of luck
