    Passing Roadworthy - Help!

    Hey guys,

I just got a quote back from my mechanic for what I need in order to pass roadworthy, bare with me as his handwriting is messy and I can't make out some of what he's written.

What I really want to know is, how much will parts roughly cost me in Australia and is it worth it, or will it cost too much and should I sell the car? Keep in mind I need to spend an additional $200-400 for the certificate and a further $500-700 on top for registration.

    - Wiperblades
    - Seat belt - "coucas to serouded" WTF lol
    - Tailshaft coupling crack
    - Engine oil leak ---> T/C Seal
    - Rear box leak --> Extension housing seal
    - Rear muffler (has a hotdog on it atm)
    - Diff mount crack
    - R/H lower rear bushing (2)
    - R/H engine mount p bracket
    - Rear trailing arm bushes (4)
    - R/H rear tyre
    - Air filter box hose filled
    - Speedo (I believe the RPM and ODO gauges are playing up)

I also have a headlight issue, where the top part of my headlight will light up, but the bottom part won't - needs a new bulb? Also, my fog light doesn't light on the left hand side, bulb again?

In regards to the cluster gauges, I believe it may be related to a fuse as the radio, clock and above gauges all seemed to have started playing up around the same time with PO.

    Thanks a bunch in advance!

You'll need to ask yourself if the car is worth it or not. Parts won't be the issue labour will be if you're not doing the work yourself based on that list of work. Take at www.bmaparts.com or www.schmiedmann.com as a starter, parts will be cheaper any place other than Melbourne.
