Advice on the future of my e30

My car is a 1987 325is with only 113k on it. I will be auto crossing and driving it a lot this summer and want se insight
Ok I have had to many e36 m3 and don't know if I want to do the s50-52 swap. The cars maintain cost and frequency is way more then doubled annually.
Then the turbo m20 set up... I know much strain and money goes into upkeep of this set up.. Still don't know
V8 swap I have no clue on this I've read some threads seems like way to much work
So my question is.. With each of the possible routes about how much has people spent doing these swaps so I can start to prep
    Any insight would help
    Thanks
    Ryan

Perhaps drive it with light mods, such as a chip and exhaust with suspension work. After all you knew what you were buying, and if you wanted power you would have stuck with the M3.

A well sorted 2.8 or 3.1 M20 will get you there. Alternatively so will an M52 with some light mods.

if you have an m20 with 113k it would make sense to keep it assuming its been properly maintained. If you are doing auto-x i would focus more on suspension and brakes. Engine swaps are costly as im sure youre aware. average m5x is 3k and avg. s5x is 5k

Ok so noticed the powersteerkng belt wobbles
And I need advice been having trouble starting lately.. It turns over but it's like it didn't get fuel and after about a min it starts.. All research points to fuel filter fuel pump or relay.. Also noticed a small pinch in a line under the car am the sound of air blowing from under the driver side seat

Turbo the fucker. M20 internals are plenty strong for 250rwhp.

run a small turbo for autocross, keep it responsive and the power useable

m50b25s dont go that well for the effort involved.
