    weird turn signal operation

Recently my passenger side turn signals have become inoperative. The driver's side works perfectly fine, both lights coming on, blinking correct speed, indicator lamp lighting up, flasher click.

The passenger side lamps do not come on at all, nor does the indicator lamp, but the flasher clicks fast like it does when a bulb goes out. Both the bulbs are okay. The hazard switch works just fine. All four lamps flash, both indicator lamps flash, and they all flash at the same speed. I have no idea what is going on.

turn signal relay on the fritz? Check the bulbs again, mine had that problem once and one bulb was actually burnt.

Could maybe be the switch too.

Should have clarified more. All fuses are fine, all lights are working, if hazards work, then the signals have to work as they are through the same relay (flasher).

I am leaning towards the wire, but I hadnt even given thought to the switch itself. Thats probably it.

Ever solve this? My DS is doing the exact same thing - though sometimes it works perfectly, making things even more unusual...

sounds exactly like mine was. I replaced the switch/relay and it works fine. I thought for sure it was a short in the wiring, but it was an easy fix.

It was the turn signal stalk switch. I was going to get one from the yard, but they were all faded and looked like crap, so we took the switch apart and cleaned all the contacts up and used some dielectric grease, never had another problem.

Dang it, Already changed this once on this car - the last one always had the highs come on when you signaled. I'll try the relay...
