Anyone ever replace the (plastic) window roller?

It's the white wheel (also called bushing) located in the red box. Mine broke off, and from what I've read you can't just replace it since it's riveted on. Is this true?

Yes, it's rivetted on. Yes, you CAN replace it.

Not sure it's worth the effort- I did one on the (later style) regulator in the E36,
and my time would have been better spent polishing a waffle. It took forever,
and I still had a mostly- worn- out regulator with an old- but- functional roller.

Drilled, tapped, threaded, used a stubby bolt ground down with a thin lockwasher.
      I don't trust it.

Now, on a $200 regulator, maybe... but again, you're going to be putting
an older roller on there, since you can't get new ones.
