    fuel pumps

anybody want to tell me why my car eats fuel pumps? literally 2 brand new pumps in hours of run time. the fuse has been replaced along with the relay. its an in tank pump. bosch oem pumps both times. i get power to the pump when it cranks, just doesnt do anything. i think i might go with aftermarket for the next time around. could it have anything to do with a bad ground? im pretty sure mine is shot, just havent gotten to that task yet.

Pull it out and test it with some fuel a d a battery. It it shoots fuel out, its working. Your external pump may be bad.

Yup only one pump. Make sure the wires are hook up right, + to + and - to -. If you put - to + it'll pump from the fuel rail instead of the tank. it'll burn up after awhile of running dry.

No very clean actually. Drained it and put fresh gas in it. There is some denting on the driver side but other than that it looked fine. Anybody have anything good to say about the tre pumps?

Were those BMW OE pumps, or Pacific Rim products? If OE from a dealer they are warrantied. Quality control on the non-OE stuff is spotty and out of the box failures aren't uncommon.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

They are warrantied no matter where you got them.. There are several versions of Bosch made all over the place but they all carry a warranty. send them back for replacement..,. Where did you get them?

i got them from guten. i mean i might be doing something wrong? but its a fuel pump, dont think there is much that could go wrong, literally plug it in. i might just return it and try my luck with a tre pump.

pinched line somewhere can burn out the pump, I killed a pump in like 5 miles with a kinked return line.

                            I'm running one in mine!
Haha btw the no start issue you saw when my car was at Guten was the reversed plug.
Flipped it around, started right up!
I like the walbro very much.
