    rough running with lights on?

    1990 325is 5 speed, engine stock.

So I have been looking for an answer as to my current situation. Used my car to jump start another car a few months back, it developed an odd problem.

It will start, idle, run out fine until I turn on electrical accessories, then it stumbles and sounds like its missing on 2 or 3 cylinders but it comes back at WOT. Its hard to drive at WOT around town...Headlights, wipers or hvac blower trigger this.

Had battery tested, wouldnt hold charge. I have swapped to a tested good battery/alternator/oil pan to chassis ground. Made sure to ground the alternator to engine block as well(newer reman unit)

Drives great until it gets dark or rains or is cold. Please offer some suggestions. Thanks in advance

    Is the car an automatic?

Ignore that question. I can't read.

Check the voltage regulator on the alternator. It might be going bad.

AutoZone/Advance auto parts will check your alternator for free. I was having similar issues and we isolated the alternator before it killed the battery.
