Help me confirm my diagnosis . . .

Car was sputtering badly this morning. I let it idle for a while in the driveway while cleaning the snow and ice off of it. No problems.

We get in the car to take the kids to school, and it keeps "hiccuping" under load. In fact, it stalls twice on the way to school.

After I get the kids dropped off and its been running a while and good and warm, the sputter is gone completely.

I am thinking vaccuum or maybe a crack/leak in the afm to intake elbow.

    Am I thinking correctly here?

Cold would make this more noticable, right?

There are a million things it could be.

      Do some poking around first.

Will do. One thing is for sure, it is temperature sensitive. After the episode early yesterday - it ran fine. It sat overnight, and this morning, more of the same. By the time I get the kids to school and drop them off, the temp gauge is up between 1/4 and 1/2 and the problem ceases.

They think ferris is one rightous dude.........

Sounds right I have found spraying carb cleaner on the intake/vacuum lines will cause the car to run diffreently when you spary the affected area.
