So I've been meaning to ask this question for a while... can anyone tell me what the purpose of this little yellow connector is? I have searched around the area looking for another loose connector; but no luck. I have an '86 eta.

It's a unused diagnostic plug. It's in all E30's If I remember correctly.Comment

It probably isn't airbag related since there isn't an airbag. The diagnostic plug sounds like my best bet unless someone has a better suggestion.
What kind of diagnostics? I know it also has an OBD port...Comment
