    Fuel pump area! Picture inside!

    So I have two questions.
    1. What does that open metal line supposed to connect to? Is it bad if it stay open like that?

    2. Do you know where I can get that fuel sender plug thingy thats chopped off? You can see the three open prongs in the background and the cut wire all the way to the right.. Pretty sure that's why my gauge isn't working. Thanks.

    1) That line is probably for the evaporative emissions system. It removes hydrocarbons into the charcole canister, and is reburned into the system. Its been a while since ive been in there, but I would look around because it would be important to connect.

    2) You should be able to get a pigtale from the yard, or possibly online. Then you could soulder the wires from the pigtale to the existing wiring. That middle piece that is held on by (4) 7mm nuts is the fuel level sending unit so thats why its not working.

Yeah, that's an evaporation line. It might have just popped off and still be on top of the tank, if you have a light and mirror I'd suggest looking for it. If you can't find it then you'll be dropping the tank to replace it.
