    Slight hesitation/bog partial throttle

The car: 88 325is (273k m20), w/Dinan chip & Scorpion exhaust. Completely stock motor otherwise, w/recent plugs, wires, cap/rotor, 02 sensor, fuel filter, and valve adjustment. It hasn't been smoke tested, but it passes the carb cleaner vacuum test w/flying colors. Lol

The good: accelerates well and pulls strong to redline. No smoke, oil loss, or oddball noises.

The bad: it has always maintained somewhat of a lumpy idle. I can't really tell if it's missing or if it's just a condition of the chip, but it's not at all a low idle. The larger issue is that it stumbles/misses/bogs for a very brief moment just off idle or partial throttle. It almost feels as if there is a dead spot in the throttle, if that makes any sense. It's always done it, and refreshing the parts listed above had no effect on the condition.

Any idea what would cause this condition? I'm ready to tear into the engine bay to give it a refresh, and would love to get a head start on what to keep an eye out for.

    Thanks for reading!

Maybe check the TPS for the hesitation off idle

Yeah, been reading up and it seems like the AFM and TPS are where I need to start. With the milage I'm wondering if it isn't just wise to replace them both at this point... Maybe even the ICV while I'm at it.

        Thanks for the replies
