    Help with dash lights out.

Some of my dash light suddenly went out, so I suspect it's not just bulbs. More specifically the front and rear ash tray lights as well as the HVAC/OBC and Headlight switches have lost their backlighting. Is there a common ground for these? Could there have been a surge which damaged these bulbs at once? All the fuses are fine.

I recall I was messing with the glove compartment hinge around the time this happened. Could I have severed a ground wire then???

    TIA

I doubt you severed a ground unless you were cutting things in there. Start with checking all the fuses with the ignition on and illumination on.

Thanks, what do you mean by checking the fuses while ON? start pulling them out one by one to see if any other lights go out when I pull the fuse? or see if any of them don't make a diff when they should, indicating a bad fuse, that looks good?
