Try waiting for a used set of H&R race. Explore that option before getting shocks. Eibachs are just way too soft. My Weitec (cheap springs) on my 318 feels way stiffer than the Eibachs on my 325. The 325 feels boaty is boaty can ever be boaty. Did I mention boaty?

Aha. Another thing guys...should I entertain the possibility of buying used H&R race's?
Are used springs usually softer in rates than new ones?
Pardon my ignorance, I don't know much about suspension :D

Not really softer. More like they've settled. Which means they sit where they're supposed to be. I perosnally wouldn't mind a used set. As long as not rusty.

If you can swing it, get some Billy Sports or Konis for the rear, because correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Bilstein Tourings an OEM replacement for stock springs? I think some serious fender rolling is in your future. Or spend 30 bucks or so and get the IE rear spring raisers which raise the car up by 3/8 inch in back (made to combat the rear rake usually found on IE3 springs).

If the used springs are super worn, then yes, the spring rate might be slightly lower.
However.... there's a better chance of one of the spring coils breaking off from stress fatigue than becoming super goopy. Unless they're sagging, in which case you might not be able to tell without them on the car.
