how do i reset my oil service light

So I just picked up this car about a month ago. And the oil service light just came on. This is the first e30 that I owned that it worked. I'm not surprised that's it does. This car is perfect, it's a two owner car. No lights are on the dash. 100% Perfect cloth seats. By anyways just wanted to know if anyone knows how to reset it.

This used to be extremely difficult to do, and then they invented this thing called the internetz. Then some guy in his parents basement invented GOOGLE.

    Now it's easy. http://www.google.ca/search?q=resett...&client=safari

Just shitting with you :) try searching first.

Peake research (among others) also makes a tool that will do it. I picked up a used tool for $5 off one of the forums.

A simple scrap piece of wire will do the same thing a 5 dollar tool will do.

True, all you need is a paperclip tbh.

I used a strand of copper wire from a section of romex, strip the ends, follow the directions on the Interwebs, you'll be fine.

Technically you should use a wire with a fuse inline, just in case you plug it into the wrong pin. Less likely to damage something. One of these works well:
