Can't get Steering wheel back off after swap...

I'm baffled. I took off airbag wheel and put on my Mtech1. I knew I was going to have to probably take the wheel off again to re-align. The key is in the ignition and the wheel turns. The wheel will not come off. It's like the shift knob deal. I stepped inside to tell the wife to check on me in a bit. I thought for sure if it came off I'd be knocked out.
I did tighten the nut down to spec with the correct spacer nut on. So, what gives?

Are you sure spacer nut is removed when you are trying to pull it off? as long as key is in ignition and can spin freely, wheel should simply come off

Is the key turned to position 1?

Pos 1 and spacer nut removed, as is washer.
When i tightened down the nut, the steering wheel was seated btw.

If the wheel turns, the lock isn't holding it on and it is just stuck on the splines. You may have to use a steering wheel puller.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
