    Removing M20 starter?

So I finally embarked on the journey of replacing my stock starter, and have run into a roadblock.

I removed the intake manifold and a large amount of hose to get to the bolts of the starter, and managed to get the top one off with ease.

The bottom bolt, however, is a bit of a challenge. I cannot seem to grab the rear torx-like nut on the back to prevent it from spinning with the bolt. I have tried jamming screwdrivers in to catch on the nut's teeth, 10mm closed wrench to grab on to it, and a few other things, but I just can't seem to get it.

    Any ideas?

I took a 10mm (I think that's the right size) 12-pt box end wrench and cut/broke it so it was about 2" long. Put it on the Torx and let it rotate while you turn the nut until it contacts the bellhousing.

Use a torx socket and extensions.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
