reviving this thread because I just gave seafoam a shot. Added about 1/3 of can to fuel tank and 1/3 in the oil. Let it sit for bout 10 mins then sucked the remaining 1/3 of the can thru the fuel regulator hose. Turned engine off, reconnected hose to intake and tried to start the car. Took a good 10-15 seconds of cranking to get the car started during which I got lots of smoke. Took it for a hard drive and didnt get too much more smoke. Car "feels healthier" (placebo effect im sure), but can't complain for $6 a can.... now its time to change the oil.
fyi... Chevron Techron is buy one get one free here at the local advance auto :D
