brakes...

hey.. my brakes sometimes have the tendency to do a hard grinding sound.. i've narrowed it down to
ABS going crazy
or
Dead pads/rotors..
I've replaced the pads less then a year ago.. rotors look fine.. any idea on how to check the abs?

If its the abs the pedal will pulsate and move towards the floor. Can you feel it in the steering? If so its probably not the abs. As for how to check it, i have NO idea, consult you bently. You do have one dont you? :?

usually warped rotors

only happens at low speeds.. it feels like sounds like i'm breaking on ice.. no change in steering wheel or stopping power.. pedal is firm

Mine grind as well, but it is only sometimes...normally at low speeds. No steering wheel shaking or anything. Anyone got an idea?

Mine grind like hell.

Then again, half of the surface area of my front pads is worth through to the metal. (Eric, hurry up and send me those brakes!!! jk)
