Frickin a...I jammed my trip mileage counter.

    If that's the technical term?

I was resetting it, and I guess I pressed it too hard, and now it's jammed. I tried pulling the lever out with a small needlenose, but no go.

Should I just remove the cluster, and see what I can do?

    Anyone ever had this issue?

    It's gay...lol

Let me guess, did this while driving huh? Might have stripped one of the ears inside maybe?

This has happened to me more at least 3 times (I reset my trip everytime I fill up) and I have always been able to get it to pop out. I have used needle nose pliers and a simple push to get it back out. It's hard to explain how but just be patient and hopefully luck is on your side.

Well...I guess technically I did. I pushed it just as I was leaving the station. I reset it every time I fill up to.

I'll give that a shot, thanks man! ;)

I know it's old - but wanted to let those that cared how I fixed it.

Pulled the cluster out, and seperated the circuit board from the plastic housing, and it popped right out.

Guess the plastic was just stuck and wouldn't let the metal reset lever come back out.

I probably could have pulled it out with enough force, but it only took me an hour or so to pull the cluster out and put everything back togheter. ;)
