Need a bit of electrical help with a 3 pin connector

It's a '90 m20. I have a no start issue. After looking around under the hood, I found a unplugged 3 pin black connector with 3 wires and I can't find where it goes. It's one of the connectors that looks identical to about 2 others I think. Anyway, I pulled the rubber boot back and found a green/yellow, brown/orange and a blue wire. I cannot for the life of me find where it plugs into. I've searched google, downloaded a few diagrams but I still can't figure it out. I found it underneath the air intake box if that helps. I know it isn't the cps, idle control or the sensor that leads to the block. And its not the tps or vacuum sensor. I sincerely appreciate any help.

Oh, and of course it's not to the MAF. I'm not sure what else there is but I hope I've narrowed it down.

you will probably find many misc connectors around the engine bay and harness's that are not plugged in . there are options that our cars didnt have or use but they use the same generic harness so as to not have so many SKU's (different harness for every car/eng/motor/options). there are connectors in that area for factory alarm systems that were a dealer add on option....
what you can do is inspect it carefully to see if it appears to have ever been plugged into anything ,ie is it dirty inside ,does it have male pins that have witness mark of having been plugged into a female connector at one time?

pictures will do so much more for helping identify also, as someone can look for it on their similar car and see if its present and used

I don't think its related to your no-start issue, but that plug goes to your engine oil level sensor.

Didn't specify if this is a no-crank-no-start or crank-no-start... big difference. Was it running before or did you just buy the car as-is or something?

I'm pretty sure there are no unused connectors on an M20 engine harness. maybe on the body, but never on the motor.

3 pin connector could be -
            crank sensor
            cylinder ID sensor
            TPS
            ICV
            oil level sensor

the only one that would prevent the engine from starting is the crank sensor.
