    windshield wiper blades not moving

    Hey all,

I got 99 problems and they all have to do with my car.

I just fixed my alternator and now my wiper blades are not moving. It looks like the arm link came out. Before I try to put it back together, I needed some professional opinion. I took some pictures and quick video.

    I have an 87 325is

ya either that or the bushing is wasted. are those trans bushings even available, or do you have to buy the whole tranny?

Honestly I wouldn't even know how to replace them. Looks like a pain the butt.

Find a used one I know someone with a trans b/c they sold me the motor off it will PM you

It sucks at first when I tried I busted up my knuckles and due to some bad advice tried to remove and install with motor attached. DO NOT DO THIS! The easiest and fastest way to do this is ...
            .Remove blower motor
.Remove top of blower motor cover, there are 4 metal clips you feel with fingers or pic and detach flaps from the top where it's connected not from the white linkage
.once all that is out of the way get a 10mm hand wrench and remove the motor by undoing the 3 bolts and the center bolt that's attached to trans, all of this is done blind or with a small mirror
.With motor out remove the bolt that holds bracket and the 22mm nuts up top and bam! It will fall down turn and remove piece of cake!

sometimes you can get lucky, if the socket isnt worn out, it will clip back in place, ive done this before but the socket was pretty loose and ended up falling off again. it can be pretty tricky to get pushed on all the way, you'll feel it pop into place.
