    ABS Relay- Hot?

My abs light has been on since i purchased the car, i read that the fuse wire in the relays are known to easly go.
So i removed the relay, and checked it, sure enough the wire was fried.

I wanted to see if that's the issue, so i soldered a new line for now.

Re-installed Relay, and abs light turned off but light is still intermittent, if i play with the connector it turns back off, so i must have a bit of a connectior issue as well i'm thinking..

I also noticed that the relay is quite warm after a bit of time, is that normal? it doesnt get too hot that it hurts my hand, but there is a decent amount of heat from it. Normal?

As long as you soldered in the same kind of wire fuse you're OK and I wouldn't worry about it. You've probably got a short or heavy resistance somewhere, which is why it's heating up so much. If the proper amount of current was going through it shouldn't get hot. There's an issue somewhere, gotta find it.

If its anything like the central locking module its the solder not the wire thats heat rated. I resoldered my CLM and fried the brains out of it by using regular solder.

      Just an FYI :-)
