    Killing the annoying door ding...

Its annoying the shit outta me. Everytime the key is turned and the door is opened its just a constant dinging. Is there a fuse or wire I can pull to kill it or do I need to call a hit man?
    TIA

The door gong is under the knee bolster - over towards the left. Remove it.

Is that a switch or the actual "gong" itself? Do I have to remove the knee bolster to see it? Where is it relative to the pulley to open the hood? thanks

I removed it and then placed it directly under the front tire and backed over it... twice.

That is the gong and you'll have to remove the bolster.

but the door gong doesn't alert you if you forgot your lights on. It only gongs when you don't need it to (in my opinion).

nope. It gongs if the keys are in and the door is open, but will NOT warn you if you forget the lights on.

There is accually someone on ebay that sells a kit to install that will warn you if you left the lights on.

I don't really care though because the headlights turn off automaticly, so it is just the parking lights that are on, and they don't use too much power.

touche - forgot that the headlights go off w/o ignition. Nice feature. Wish everything did though.
