so, last night, had my car parked out on the road, and anyway, some bunch of ass hats tried to break into my trunk, looks like they jammed a screw driver in the lock and twisted the fuck out of it.... so my big question is how do you get the trunk locking mechinisam out so i can put one of my spares in?

Can you open the trunk? If so, there's two tens holding the lock in. If you can't - good luck. I had a euro e28 525i that got mistakenly dropped off at a salvage yard, and I tried to get in the trunk - took a good couple hours and I destroyed the trunk lid...Originally posted by BahnE30 -

i can't get in as it is now, but i believe if i take a punch and just hammer it through the lock, it should be enough to pop the lever in behind...
i don't know what they used, but they chewed pretty much the entire center out of the lock, and it's not clean enough to have been done by a cordless drilll...Comment
